Web Publishing The ZyIMAGE Webserver allows transparent Internet or intranet access to scanned and indexed information using the ZyLAB WYHIWYG technology. You can use any Internet browser to access the ZyIMAGE Webserver and search for documents that contain the information you are looking for. You can immediately view the original document, with the hits of your search highlighted on the image. You do not need to convert the information to HTML in advance because the ZyIMAGE Webserver converts the information "on the fly" to HTML. The TIFF images are converted dynamically to low-resolution PNGs, which minimizes the download time of an image, a feature particularly relevant for users with a low bandwidth connection. The interface is fully configurable with HTML templates, CGI scripts, VB script, and Java scripts and applets. ZyIMAGE Webserver supports advanced Internet security features such as passwords, firewalls, data encryption, advanced access control through Windows NT, secure HTTP and more. ZyIMAGE does not use any browser plug-ins and is therefore not blocked by firewalls. Furthermore, because ZyIMAGE only uses port 80 of HTTP protocols, ZyIMAGE is well-suited for use in high-security areas, such as military installations. ZyIMAGE can work with all major browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape, Lotus Notes and Opera, and all of our software can work in frameless environments and in the latest Microsoft .NET environments.
