Bagshot, April 4, 2003 - ZyLAB, a leading provider of advanced
document management and full-text retrieval software, today announced
that the company is assisting the FBI in the ENRON investigation.
Specifically, the FBI is now using ZyLAB's ZyIMAGE product suite
to analyze and search for vital information in more than 2,000,000
pages of hard-copy documentation. Over 100 GB of E-mail files and
over 100 GB electronic Microsoft Office documents will soon be made
searchable as well.
ZyIMAGE's award winning and powerful search engine allows these
immense data collections to be searched by using unique keywords
or combinations of words, similar to an Internet search engine.
In addition, data can be organized, annotated, indexed or marked
for later use.
"The FBI uses ZyIMAGE in order to analyze data obtained in
the ENRON investigation" says Teele Horstra, managing director
of ZyLAB North America LLC. "ZyLAB has provided the FBI Special
Agents in the Houston Field Office with several ZyIMAGE licenses
and special support services in order to parallel process this very
large collection of paper in record time. Almost 250,000 pages per
day were processed automatically with the ZyIMAGE software. We are
proud of the results."
Over the past eight years, the FBI has been an extensive user of
the ZyLAB solutions. In several high-profile cases such as the Oklahoma
City bombing, Ruby Ridge, and the Yosemite Park murders, the FBI
relied on ZyLAB products as key components to its investigations.

popular for searching large collections of electronic file collections
in PC environments. As of 1991, ZyLAB focussed all of its development
and marketing efforts on ZyIMAGE, aimed at delivering the best search
engine available for large paper collections. As a result, ZyLAB
