eDiscovery EDRM Bundle

The EDRM processing Bundle is part of the end-to-end in-house ZyLAB eDiscovery and Production System. The EDRM Processing Bundle takes care of automated legal collection, document culling, de-duplication, conversion and processing of e-mail and attachments, electronically stored information and scanned paper in order to respond to electronic discovery requests. This methodology takes the first step of document culling away from service providers that typically charge thousands of dollars a gigabyte to process collect, cull, process, de-duplicate and filter documents to determine what is relevant and what is not.

The EDRM Processing Bundle streamlines the legal discovery by:

In-house legal collection

Collect electronic information which is intended to be processed, analyzed, reviewed and produced before handing it over to opposing parties. The exigencies of litigation generally require that electronic information should be collected in a manner that is comprehensive, maintains its content integrity and preserves its form. Instead of having service providers collecting your organizations ESI, the Professional EDRM Processing Bundle can do that for you with its automated collection that:

  • Copies potentially relevant ESI from network drives, shares, computers, laptops, etc. to a litigation hold server
  • Runs from a central location without disruption to end-users or bringing servers off-line
  • Works for Multiple matters
  • Filters so not all electronic data needs to go through the processing phase
  • Enables you to go back to the source hence streamlines early case assessment
  • Has an extensive audit trail and reporting and a chain-of-custody can be easily created to have a defensible electronic discovery process

Culling, Process, de-duplicate

Data culling and filtering allows a litigation staff to pre-filter and pre-sort large electronic collections into groups that need a particular type of processing.

The Culling Module systematically:

  • Excludes irrelevant files and separates data into logical groups to accelerate the document indexing process
  • Unpacks compressed or compound (e.g. ZIP, RAR) files are for further culling
  • Converts PST and NSF files into fully-searchable collections of XML, native files for the attachments, and (optional) MSG files
  • TIFF, PDF and all other bitmap files are separated from other electronic files, and automatically made searchable
  • EXE’s, DLL’s, OCX’es and other binary files will also be separated

Extract concepts that will automatically organize the data into logical, user-defined categories and folders. For example, files containing a CEO’s and attorney’s name can be tagged as “Attorney Client Privilege” and excluded from the review collection.
