ZyLAB Positioned in Research Firm’s Leaders Quadrant for Information Access Technology, 2009

Proven Track Record of Providing e-Discovery and Investigative Tools with its ZyIMAGE Information Access Platform Positions ZyLAB for Continued Growth and Success

London, UK - September 08, 2009 - ZyLAB, developer of information access applications, today announces that Gartner Inc., a research and advisory firm, positioned ZyLAB in the “Leaders” quadrant in its Magic Quadrant for Information Access Technology, 2009.* Gartner defines Information Access technologies in the report as the ability to “find, collect and condense information or map its native location so that users may actively seek information, analyse it effectively and remain informed.”.

According to the Gartner report, “All the Leaders demonstrate significant architectural flexibility. They also have strong, innovative and broad means of determining the relevancy of results returned to users, and of providing developers with the tools and the flexibility to tune relevancy settings.”

The ZyIMAGE Information Access Platform (IAP) is a complete XML-based system that provides a robust foundation for the archiving and long-term management of organisations’ critical information assets, including digitised paper documents, electronic files, e-mail and attachments, and multimedia. The IAP’s comprehensive core technology enables users to find, access, and organise specific data through a standard browser in a quick, easy, and secure fashion. ZyIMAGE IAP can be delivered as one of five specialised, all-in-one deployment solutions including ZyIMAGE eDiscovery and Production; ZyIMAGE Professional Back-Office; ZyIMAGE Communications Intelligence; ZyIMAGE Legal and Compliance; and ZyIMAGE Historical Archiving.

“We are pleased that both our vision and execution in the development of our ZyIMAGE IAP is being recognised by one of the top research firms in the world,” said Dr. Johannes Scholtes, President of ZyLAB North America LLC. “We have experienced phenomenal growth during the past 12 months as organisations look to implement cost-effective, modular solutions to meet their specific industry requirements. We are especially strong in the compliance and legal sectors and are aggressively expanding into the fast growing e-discovery market, which is finding real value in our advanced capabilities for multi language support, searching, content analytics, document reviewing, and e-mail and records management.”

The report notes that “This Magic Quadrant assesses vendors with capabilities that go beyond enterprise search to encompass a range of technologies. Their capabilities include search; federated search, content analytics, such as content classification, categorisation and clustering; fact and entity extraction; taxonomy creation and management; information presentation (for example, visualisation) to support analysis and understanding; and desktop search to address user-controlled repositories to locate and "invoke" documents, data, and e-mail.”
