Employee Profile: Marketing and Product Manager, ZyLAB Benelux
After I finished my studies at TU Delft in 2000, I started working at ZyLAB on a freelance basis. Around that time, ZyLAB had started collaborating with OCé (a global manufacturer of printers, copiers and other document systems); meaning that OCé would sell ZyLAB's software under its own brand and name. To give OCé a flying start I visited several of its international branches, from Australia to Denmark, to introduce the ZyLAB products. That was pretty exciting, because not only did I have to learn all about marketing, selling and the ZyLAB technology in a very short space of time, I also had to transfer all of this knowledge to third parties who considered me to be the specialist. Luckily, my new colleagues gave me a thorough crash course that I found really interesting. So, armed to the teeth with the correct information I was able to carry out my tasks successfully.
After the foreign adventure, I started working for ZyLAB on a permanent basis. The combination of international opportunities, exciting clients and enthusiastic colleagues appealed to me a lot. During my career at ZyLAB I have been given many opportunities for further development and growth. I have held various positions within the company on both the technical and commercial sides of the business. One of the most exciting assignments was contributing to the FBI’s investigation into Enron in Houston.
In my current role I am responsible for global marketing and product management and work with passionate and enthusiastic people all around the world. What I really like about ZyLAB is the fact that we continuously create innovative solutions and products which are always a pleasant surprise for both existing users and new customers.
