Sales Professional - McLean, VA

The position

ZyLAB has two openings for qualified Sales Professionals to join our dynamic team! Right now, enterprise content management is a hot spot for software sales. ZyLAB is expanding its sales force to take advantage of the growing need for Records Management, E-mail Archiving and e-Discovery software and services in this market. We are looking for sales professionals with proven experience in selling these software solutions to the commercial and government markets. The responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Sell ZyLAB software solutions and services directly to new and existing accounts
  • Generate new business revenue from company-provided sales leads
  • Sell ZyLAB software solutions and services directly to new and existing accounts
  • Identify and properly qualify business opportunities
  • Present and demonstrate business solutions at the executive level
  • Lead negotiations and overcome objections for deal closure
  • Manage multiple sales cycles and multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and sales cycle reporting
  • Build the necessary relationships with clients to drive a sales process that may take 3-6 months to close

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years successful software sales experience
  • Experience selling enterprise content management solutions is a must
  • Experience selling one or more of the following applications - Records Management, E-mail Archiving or e-Discovery
  • Direct sales experience in selling business technology software solutions
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of commercial and/or government procurement process
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Self-driven, motivated and results-oriented
  • Moderate level of technical skill (at times you will be presenting and demonstrating without a technical resource)
  • Proven ability to excel and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
  • Experience in selling to federal, state and local government is a plus
  • Experience in selling indirectly through a reseller channel is a plus
  • Travel is a requirement for this position and can range from 25%-50%, depending upon sales activity and seasonality
